Finally - no flying rats

I've been wondering what it was about this city that made it a bit different from any other place I've been. It felt like something was missing, but in a good way and then I realised what it was. - there is not one single pigeon to be seen anywhere in this entire city! I think it´s because of the altitude - thank goodness. What a nice change! There aren´t even any other kinds of birds at all - i´m totally loving it. =) This is my kind of place.

It was a really quiet day in the clinic today. Only one doctor out of the four was in, so I had heaps of time to just sit around and read. I was actually able to help a boy with his english homework that he brought in with him. It was actually kind of hard - I felt so stupid since it is the only language I speak. There was this passage and you had to identify the verbs, and I can´t believe it but I actually hesitated to point out which ones were the verbs - so bad. I haven´t done grammar in so long. And then there was this big passage about soldering irons and welding and different types of metals - sheesh, talk about making it hard for the kid. He must have been only like 8 or something and he´s having to learn all this technical metallurgical jargon. Weird homework. Anyway, even though I kind of sucked at doing the grammer, he´s actually going to come back again tomorrow to practice more english with me, which is really cool.

Had my first private tuition with this girl called Gaby today. She kind of reminds me of Ricki-Lee Coulter, but in a latino way. Anyway she´s really nice and was really good to finally have a structured spanish lesson, unlike the kind of random ones I had a couple weeks ago. We had our lesson in this nice cafe playing gnarls barkley and it was actually nice to have a change of background music from the ubiquitous reggaeton - which is not like Sean Paul as Chris mentioned, but more like Gasolina and some may know how much I like Gasolina-esque music ;)

Anyway, better get crackin with my spanish homework.

I'm hoping this Ricki-Lee Coulter has no relation to Ann Coulter (cause she's CRAZY). Glad the lessons are going well too! And teaching English is really hard too but a great way to learn a lot about the language that you speak already. English is hard.

I also second Jason on the good-to-breathe-tall-person air, coming from myself... the muggy average height air sucks sometimes.
